Your Engineering Manufacturing Partner for Complex PCBs
1-piece minimum. Engineer-reviewed.
Complex boards done right.
Stop compromising your complex board with the wrong manufacturer. NimblePCB connects North American and European engineers with our Industrial Competency Partner Network β China's premier certified PCB manufacturers β with 12-hour human engineering review on every order.
Why NimblePCB
Core Pain Points β Solved
Every production-ready product started with one prototype. NimblePCB exists to make sure that first board doesn't fail because of the wrong manufacturer.
Complex boards need a capable manufacturer
We work exclusively with our Industrial Competency Partner Network β manufacturers whose primary business is high-complexity, high-reliability boards β not commodity FR4 at scale.
No silent modifications to your design
Every order goes through a human engineer pre-audit within 12 hours. If something is unclear or risky, we contact you before touching production.
No language barrier for technical details
We handle all factory communication in Chinese, then summarize every technical decision in English for your approval.
China quality at accessible pricing
You get access to China's high-end manufacturing capability, with an English-speaking interface that eliminates the friction of going direct.
Small orders are never deprioritized
1-piece minimum, no exceptions. Small orders are not second-class at NimblePCB.
Precision Engineering at Every Layer
From 2-layer prototypes to 30+ layer HDI stackups β every board is reviewed by a human engineer before production begins.
How It Works
Simple Process. Expert Hands at Every Step.
Step 1: Upload Your Files
Drag and drop your Gerbers, drill files, and stackup spec. Describe your impedance requirements, material preferences, and quantity. No complicated configuration menus.
Step 2: Engineering Pre-Audit
A human CAM engineer reviews your files within 12 hours β stackup feasibility, impedance consistency, via structure risks, and DFM issues. If we find anything, we contact you directly.
Step 3: Production
Once engineering sign-off is complete, we place your order into the production queue at our partner facility. You receive a confirmed lead time, not an estimate.
Step 4: Quality Documentation + Delivery
Every shipment includes impedance test reports, material traceability certificates, and IPC inspection records. DHL/FedEx to your door, with tracking from day one.

HDI Complexity Experts
HDI boards that match your spec
Your board has blind vias, stacked microvias, or back-drill. Standard board houses either don't offer it, or deliver something different.Confirmed HDI capability before production
A CAM engineer who has actually reviewed your specific via structure.
Typical boards
Any-layer HDI, 1-3 stage blind/buried, back-drill, fine-pitch BGA escape routing.
Startups & Prototype Teams
1-10 pieces, reviewed by a real engineer
You're iterating. You don't need 100 boards. You need 3 boards that actually work.Round 1: 3 boards
Engineering review catches stackup error β saves $800 respins.
Round 2: 5 boards
Impedance confirmed within spec β passes SI testing first try.
Round 3: 25 boards
Beta units, same process, consistent results.
Built for Complexity
HDI, RF/microwave, rigid-flex, heavy copper β capabilities that commodity board houses simply don't offer.

NimblePCB Manufacturing and Industrial Competency Partner Network
Shenzhen's best-kept secret for complex PCBs
NimblePCB sources through our Industrial Competency Partner Network, based in Shenzhen, China. Certifications include ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and military-grade process standards. Not commodity FR4 production
Our partner network serves aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial electronics β industries where boards cannot fail.
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 certified
Military-grade process standards. The same discipline that serves aerospace clients is applied to your 5-piece prototype.
Dedicated manufacturing partners
We are not a broker routing your order to whichever factory has spare capacity. We know our partner facilities' capabilities in detail.
Engineering Pre-Audit β What We Actually Check
12-hour human review, not just automated DRC
If we find something, we email you with a specific question or recommendation. We do not modify your files without your knowledge.RF & High-Frequency boards
Laminate availability, microstrip/stripline geometry vs. target impedance, via stub resonances, back-drill feasibility.
HDI boards
Via stack structure manufacturability, capture pad sizes, via-in-pad reflow requirements.
IPC Class 3
Annular ring vs. Class 3 minimums, copper thickness in plated holes, documentation requirements.
All boards
Stackup vs. impedance spec, material substitution check, silkscreen/soldermask overlap, outline/drill consistency.
What Engineers Say
Real feedback from engineers who've worked with NimblePCB.
" I've been burned twice by board houses that silently substituted my Rogers material with FR4 composite. NimblePCB sent me a material CoC before I even asked. That's the standard that should be normal. "
RF Systems Engineer
Defense contractor startup
" My HDI board had a stacked via structure that online board houses kept rejecting or quoting incorrectly. NimblePCB's engineer emailed me with a specific question about my copper fill requirement, confirmed the build was feasible, and delivered boards that actually matched the spec. "
Hardware Engineer
Medical device company
" I needed 3 prototype boards. Every other option wanted 50 minimum or charged me like I was ordering 50 anyway. NimblePCB did 3 boards with no attitude about the quantity and included an impedance test report I didn't even ask for. "

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ordering complex PCBs through NimblePCB.
What boards are NOT a good fit for NimblePCB?
Standard FR4 boards where cost and speed are the priority. If you need $30 two-layer boards in 24 hours, JLC or PCBWay will serve you better. We are optimized for boards where getting it right matters more than getting it cheapest.
What is your minimum order quantity?
One piece. No exceptions and no premium for single-piece orders beyond the fixed setup costs that apply to all orders.
How long does production take?
Standard lead time is 10-15 business days from engineering sign-off, plus 3-5 days international shipping via DHL or FedEx. Expedited 7-business-day builds are available for most board types.
Where can I get Rogers PCB manufactured with small quantities?
NimblePCB specializes in Rogers laminate PCBs including 4003C, 4350B, and 5880, with no minimum order quantity. We verify laminate availability before confirming your order and include material certification with every shipment.
What is the difference between IPC Class 2 and Class 3?
IPC Class 2 covers most commercial and industrial electronics. IPC Class 3 applies to high-reliability applications β aerospace, medical, defense β with tighter tolerances, stricter inspection, and full documentation traceability. NimblePCB supports both through our partner network's certified processes.
What file formats do you accept?
Gerber RS-274X (preferred), ODB++, IPC-2581. Please include drill files, board outline, stackup specification, and impedance requirements if applicable.
What if there's a quality problem with my boards?
We are accountable. If boards fail to meet the agreed specification, we work with you and our manufacturing partner to determine root cause and resolution. You are not left negotiating with a factory in a language you don't speak.
How do I know the laminate is actually what I specified?
Every shipment includes material traceability documentation. If you spec Rogers 4350B, your shipment includes a certificate of conformance with the laminate lot number. This is standard, not optional.
Can JLC make HDI boards with any-layer via structures?
JLC does not currently offer any-layer HDI. For 1-3 stage HDI with blind and buried vias, NimblePCB sources through our partner network which supports these structures. Submit your files for a free pre-review.
How do I specify controlled impedance on a PCB order?
Provide your target impedance value (typically 50Ξ© single-ended or 100Ξ© differential), the layer(s) requiring control, your stackup or preferred dielectric thickness, and the copper weight. Our engineer will calculate the required trace geometry and confirm before production.
